The first peeks through the scope - no camera adapters (yet)

On a walk in the Blue Mountains (NSW, Australia), we saw this Crimson Rosella enjoying her apple. I held the camera against the 20-60x eyepiece and shot following picture.
This image is resized to 700x525; the origibal is 2272x1704.

Canon G2 settings:
focal length: 20mm (3x)
shutter speed: 1/13sec
aperture: 20mm

Swarovski ATS 65 settings:
power eyepiece: 20x

Addmittedly, the subject was not very far away (about 10m), but the result was very encouraging. The vignetting is rather limited. The camera was not fixed to the spotting scope with any adapter whatsoever. Though, there was sufficient light to produce a reasonably sharp image.

Cropping the image results in the following (resized to 600x488 from 1296x1054):

This is the tree in which the bird was eating her meal.
